T.B.Joshua And Brian Cairns And The Newly Elected First Woman President Of America

False Prophets And False Prophecies: T.B.Joshua And Brian Cairns

I generally do not comment on current affairs on this website, preferring instead to dwell on time-tested issues from the pages of the Bible and human experience.

However the issue that forms the topic of this article both meets the call for importance and relevance. ‘Prophet’ T.B.Joshua and ‘Prophet’ Brian Cairns, amongst others, and in days leading up to the current elections, prophesied to the world Mrs Clinton would win the 2016 American Presidential Elections.

T.B.Joshua In The Womb

Because I paid some attention to the antecedents of T.B.Joshua when he first came up sometime in the late 1990, I had no problem at all in picking him out as a fraud. What else do you say about someone who claimed he was born again from his mother’s womb and styled himself Emmanuel, the Christ? I got to know very quickly that there was more to the young man than met the eye and therefore was not surprised by the 110 or so of his devotees from South Africa and other Countries that perished in his Synagogue a few years ago. Such things are expected where people do not care what the Written Word of God says about their beliefs and how and who they worship. In the spiritual realm, ignorance is no virtue.

T.B.Joshua And Brian Cairns And False Prophecies

The attached video is not the first example of the fake prophecies routinely dished out by this deceiver: he has a history of similarly changing facts after the event all to garner publicity and money.

That said, I believe I should write this short piece in order to guide readers about what the Bible says about false prophecies and false prophets. The infestation of demons into Christian circles in the form of Word-of-Faith and Prosperity teachings in the last fifty years has changed the import of the strictness of the Bible’s requirements for prophecies in the mind of the general public. To most people, you are a prophet once you style yourself so. That is very far from God’s definition of who a prophet is. As far as God is concerned, prophesy is one of those things you do if, and only if, you are so appointed to the post by God. How else can it be since your job is telling people what God has told you to tell them. If, therefore, you do not know God or He does not know you, you are at best a guesser and at worst a fortuneteller. God frowns seriously at both.

This is so since you are going about telling people God told you something He never actually did tell you: you are lying against God and reporting to others He was going to do something He never said He would do.

I advise my readers to read this part of the article very carefully. It is an abomination using languages such as “I prophesy such and such to you” when in actual fact all you are saying are your personal wishes for the other person. You hear these type of statements more often in fake churches preaching Word-of-Faith and Prosperity doctrines. Personal wishes and prayers are not prophecies since ALL true prophecies are only originated by God and must come to pass. That is the Bible’s unchanged standard: all and in exactly the shape, order and form in which the prophecy was pronounced.

If, therefore, you do not know God or He does not know you, as we have in this case on TB Joshua, Brian Cairns, Benny Hin and many other false prophets who ‘saw a woman’ as the president-elect of America in 2016, you are presumptuous and acting out of your own mind. As God said in Jeremiah 23:21

“I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.”

What, therefore, are God’s specific words and pronouncements on false prophecies and false prophets?

Deu 18:20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.

Deu 18:21 And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken?

Deu 18:22 When a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.”

Your soul is the prize
Your soul is the prize

And, again, note that God made adequate provision for even situations where the prophecy came true before the false prophet shows his hand:

Deu 13:1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and gives thee a sign or a wonder,

Deu 13:2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;

Deu 13:3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proves you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

Deu 13:4 Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.

Deu 13:5 And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.”

Cover Up

Efforts to quickly cover up the glaring debacle of this false prophecy are in top gear with everyone of these false prophets. I am told Mr T. B. Joshua has removed the attached video from his facebook page. This should mean something to his devotees particularly those in Southern Africa who continue to hold on to the farce that Mr Joshua is indeed a prophet from God. We must not allow Mr Joshua and Mr Brian Cairns and their cohorts to mislead the people on the Bible’s very strict definition of prophecies.

The passages quoted above answer the question now being floated by the deluded T. B. Joshua’s devotees that their ‘prophet’ should be left alone since his error is only ‘this once’. Apart from the fact this episode is not an aberration, the Bible does not have provision for even one single error when someone says he prophesies future occurrences in the Name of the Lord. And it should be clear from the passages that you cannot apply the “Judge not” mantra to the issue of false prophecies. God even asked that the false prophet must not only be judged, but be killed.

The fact that we do not apply the death penalty on false prophets today does not mean we should gloss over the satanic nature of their work or allow them to sweep it under the carpet. They lie against God as Jeremiah said in Jer 23:27 :

“They think to cause my people to forget my name.”

T.B.Joshua And Brian Cairns: Can We Continue To Revere False Prophets?

Jer 23:16 Thus says the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.
Jer 23:17 They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walks after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.

Every false prophet is an active agent of Satan working to smear dirt on God and misrepresent Him before people. It is not a small crime and you are not the one sinned against. Do not take it on yourself to forgive anyone God has not given you power to forgive: you could end up a participant in his sins and a sharer in his punishments.
